"content_html": "
SHOW mode for the live show, a ⌘K command palette that never sends, faster FR7 stops, and a Data tab to delete everything Scanny keeps on this Mac.

NEW

SHOW mode: one grid in plot-number order — Press ⌘⇧S or the grid button in the header. The Wall becomes one grid in plot-number order, and the order stays frozen for the show. Cameras found later go at the end, marked NEW, until you press REFREEZE. A camera that stops answering keeps its place, greyed. Turning SHOW on or off sends nothing to any camera.

SHOW cells show what you ride — Each cell shows the values a shader rides for that brand, plus tally, REC, which RCP holds the camera and how fresh the link is. Windows under 1100 pt wide get a compact table.

SHOW keys — The arrows move between cameras, typing a plot number jumps to it, and Tab shows the tag the camera page would give a step on that value. Return opens the camera page. Nothing is sent from the SHOW grid.

Command palette (⌘K) — Press ⌘K to search and jump to any page, Wall view, camera, ALEXA tab, MENU level or setting, Settings tab or common command. Each row shows the value now, the air state and the same tag SHOW shows.

ALEXA link drops are logged with the reason — When an ALEXA link drops, Activity records why and how long it was since the last byte. After the reconnect, Scanny posts REC now ROLLING or REC now STOPPED from the camera's own state report, or says REC is still unknown after 6 s. Nothing extra is sent to the camera.

Delete all Scanny data — Settings ▸ Data ▸ Delete all Scanny data. Type DELETE to confirm. It removes Scanny's folder and preferences on this Mac, then quits. The license on this Mac is left in place.

Legal section in About — Settings ▸ About ▸ Legal lists the Privacy Policy, License Agreement, Third-Party Notices, Trademarks and Deleting your data, with a contact address. Each page shows COMING SOON until it is published.

Optional update check, off by default — When you turn it on, Scanny reads the public changelog at most once a day and shows a small available · What's new pill. It never downloads or installs anything.

What's new in About — Settings ▸ About ▸ What's new shows this version's notes from the changelog that ships with the app.

IMPROVED

Address checks without a helper process — The duplicate-IP check, the Panasonic address check and the RCP checks read this Mac's ARP table directly instead of starting the arp tool each time.

Register sheet: your details stay on this Mac — The Register sheet now says that location, name and company stay on this Mac and are not sent anywhere.

Brighter faint text and more VoiceOver labels — Faint text has higher contrast. VoiceOver now reads the ALEXA fleet write checkbox and the FR7 password eye buttons.

SEND / UNDO sits in the STATE column — The SEND / UNDO button now sits in the STATE column, so DRIVES stays visible while you send.

Shorter names in the SHOW table — In the compact table, FR7 mode reads CUST, CINE, CINEQ or FLEX. The RCP holder shows a short name such as SK07. Hover over it for the full name.

Update check stays on scanny.metawrks.com — The optional update check refuses redirects and stops an oversized reply early. The What's new link still works after a relaunch. The check is still off by default.

Clearer wording on what leaves your Mac — Settings ▸ Data now says that nothing in Scanny's folder goes to METAWRKS or the internet. Logins, setups and presets go only to your own cameras and panels, when you use them.

What's new links the full changelog — Settings ▸ About ▸ What's new always offers Full changelog, which opens scanny.metawrks.com.

FIXED

FR7 identity check works when ARP is empty — When this Mac has no ARP entry for an FR7, a reply from that camera's own address, at most 10 s old, now confirms which camera it is. A different hardware address still refuses, and no proof at all still refuses.

No second Identify while one is blinking — A second Identify while one is still blinking is refused, and the button says why.

Undoing an undo always reads REDO — Undoing an undo is labelled REDO everywhere, including from the table and for older records.

An RCP that leaves the table is unselected — A selected RCP that moves to NOT SEEN is no longer selected.

CyanView header counts units seen now — The CyanView header number counts only units that answer now.

Panasonic tags match the camera page — In SHOW and the palette, a Panasonic with red tally reads ASKS, because its camera page asks before sending. An armed camera with no red tally reads SENDS, an unarmed one reads LOCKED, and one with no link reads NO LINK. Palette rows for Panasonic now show the air state (PGM, PVW or ON?).

SHOW values fit their cells — At 1440 pt, the ALEXA TINT, shutter angle, white balance and master black values are no longer cut off. The status row stays inside the cell, and a long RCP holder tag shortens in the middle.

SAFETY

ON AIR NOW lists only a known PGM tally — The ON AIR NOW line shows only cameras with a known, fresh PGM tally. With none it reads NO PGM TALLY · check tally feed. A camera whose tally is unknown gets a dashed red edge, never an off-air look.

The palette never sends a change — Choosing a setting goes to it and outlines it. A command runs the same entry point as its key or button, with its usual confirms. Recent rows are kept as paths only, never values. LOCK EVERYTHING is always the first row.

Held FR7 moves stop sooner — Releasing a held FR7 move now sends STOP three times, about 40 ms apart, on its own path, so it never waits behind a camera read. One acknowledged stop then confirms it.

Leaving the window stops held moves — Clicking another window or app now stops FR7 and Panasonic held moves. Quitting sends the stop before Scanny closes.

Unknown FR7 tally counts as on air everywhere — Wall rows, plot names and RCP tally now use the one FR7 on-air rule. A stale, unread or external tally reads unknown, and unknown asks like on air.

No RCP changes during a Reactor test — Changes can't start while a Reactor version test is running on an RCP.

",

      "content_html": "
RCPs you can trust at a glance: a row only for an RCP that answers or that you added, a health line for each, and a safe in-app test for a new Reactor version.

NEW

NOT SEEN group with last seen and Forget — RCPs and CyanView units seen before that aren't answering now go into a collapsed NOT SEEN group, with when each was last seen and a Forget button. A unit that answers again moves back on its own.

+ Add RCP by address — Add an RCP by its private address, even outside the range. Scanny shows it and reads it; changes are only sent to RCPs inside your RCP range. Scanny remembers it until you Forget it.

RCP health line, RE-READ and RE-READ ALL — Click a row to see how long since that RCP last answered, where its setup read stands and the last error in plain words. RE-READ reads that RCP again; RE-READ ALL reads every RCP. Neither ever changes anything on the RCPs.

IMPROVED

RCPs show only when they answer or you add them — The RCP range is now a search area, not a list. An RCP gets a row once it answers on this network or you add it by address. No more rows of NO REPLY when the Mac is away from the truck. On the truck, every RCP that answers shows as before.

Reactor versions match with or without a leading v — 2.3.0-pre1 and v2.3.0-pre1 count as the same version. Nothing else is matched loosely.

On the truck, RCP rows stay put — An RCP that answered this session and then misses a read stays in its row as a red NO REPLY. Rows never jump or reorder.

NOT SEEN rows explain themselves — Each NOT SEEN RCP shows its last error and, when the range is on this network, a Re-read button next to Forget.

FIXED

READING SETUP no longer hangs — A setup read still owed after 20 s says SETUP READ FAILED with the reason, and tries again on its own.

Counters, REDO and one BETA mark — On the RCP network the header reads ONLINE n OF m, NO REPLY (red) and NOT SEEN. Away from it, only a quiet NOT SEEN count shows and the tab has no badge. Undoing an undo reads REDO, and the BETA mark shows once.

SAFETY

Off the RCP network, Scanny sends nothing there — When this Mac isn't on the RCP range's network, one line says so (RCP range … · not on this network) and Scanny sends nothing to that range.

Test a new Reactor version on one idle RCP — Right-click an RCP ▸ Test Reactor runs a short test on that one RCP: LED +1, read back, undo, read back, Reactor unchanged. Only a full pass unlocks changes for that version on this Mac. It is refused if that RCP drives a camera on air or unknown.

Tested Reactor versions can be revoked — Settings ▸ RCPs lists each tested Reactor version with the RCP and date it was tested on, and a Revoke button that puts writes for that version back to refused. A failed test always waits out the rate limit before putting the LED back, and says whether it is back.

",

Anything that still needs a hardware bench ships fail-closed: Scanny refuses with a plain reason instead of guessing.

NEW

Who drives this camera — A chip on the FR7 and ALEXA pages, and a flag on Wall tiles, shows which RCP drives the camera and when its keys last moved, or that an FR7's RCP link is BRIDGE.

RCPS n/N in the nav — The RCPs tab shows how many RCPs answer. It turns red when one that answered stops, and the tooltip names it. It sends no new requests.

Names the real network cause — Banners say when macOS's Local Network setting blocks Scanny (with Open Settings) and when another app holds the FR7 control port, naming the app. A CONTROL OVER WI-FI chip shows when cameras are reached over Wi-Fi.

Build on screen, RESTART TO USE — The header shows the running build (1.1.0 beta · commit). A RESTART TO USE banner shows when the app on disk is another build, and restart asks first.

IMPROVED

Faster camera switch (no animation) — Switching cameras snaps; page changes are a 100 ms crossfade. Rows and tiles no longer slide when the order changes.

Honest limits — ALEXA pages say how many settings are still UNVERIFIED (shade those from the RCP) and, on a base station, how many are LAN / camera menu only. RCP Allow changes and RCP writes are marked BETA.

LIVE · ASKS or 1-CLICK — A LIVE ALEXA shows whether on-air steps ask or go in one click. Turning 1-CLICK on asks first.

Setup push starts empty — A new setup push starts with no cameras ticked. Tick each camera to push to.

REDO, not UNDO UNDO — Undoing an undo on the RCPs tab is labelled REDO.

Lock everything is ⌘⇧L; Setup Library moves to ⌥⌘L — ⌘⇧L locks every camera control across ALEXA, FR7, Panasonic and RCP holds. Setup Library is now on ⌥⌘L.

Caution looks like caution — The RESTART TO USE banner and the BETA badge are amber, so lime only ever means OK or primary.

FIXED

FR7 picture comes back on its own — A lost camera picture reconnects by itself (2 to 30 s back-off), and at once when the camera answers again. It doesn't retry after LOGIN REFUSED.

Steadier launch with a full fleet — Fixed a launch-time re-entrancy that could crash Scanny while it built its camera model.

SAFETY

Unknown means on air — An FR7 whose REC or tally is unknown, half-read or more than 5 s old counts as ON AIR. Presets, Home and paint ask first and say why. On an ALEXA, unknown tally is ON AIR too, and a link silent for 3 s reads LINK STALE.

FR7 RCP link stays on while on air — RCP link (CNS) OFF or BRIDGE is blocked on PGM, PVW, REC or an unknown state. Off air it needs Control unlocked and a confirm. Bulk changes read each camera again and skip on-air ones.

START TAKE and STOP TAKE from a fresh read — REC presses only on a REC state read within 250 ms. The confirm says START TAKE or STOP TAKE.

Held moves stop on their own — A held pan, tilt, zoom or focus stops when Scanny goes to the background or quits. It ends by itself after 10 s.

Identify only blinks the tally — Identify blinks the tally only when the camera is known off air. When it can't, the button says why before you click.

Head swap on air locks writes — A head swapped in while on air, in preview, or with tally unknown shows NEW HEAD. Scanny writes nothing to it until you confirm, and controls stay locked after that. The new head's serial shows for 60 s.

Riding on air asks first — The header says RIDING <setting> · <camera> · ON AIR while the arrow keys step a setting. Cmd-arrow stops at an on-air or air-unknown camera; press again within 2 s to go on. On air, CHANGE needs Cmd-Return; Return does nothing.

The RCP wins — While an RCP that is answering drives a camera, or an FR7's RCP link reads BRIDGE, Scanny refuses that camera's paint (iris, ISO, shutter, ND, WB). Moves, presets, REC and stops are never held. One click unlocks that camera for this session; both clicks are logged.

LOCK EVERYTHING covers ALEXA, FR7, Panasonic and RCP — Cmd-Shift-L, the Wall's LOCK ALL and the header chip lock ALEXA, FR7, Panasonic and RCP changes in one click, and stop any held move. The header shows n OPEN while anything is open.

No duplicate IPs — Before an IP change Scanny also knocks on TCP 80 at the new address, so a device that ignores ping still blocks it. SKAARHOJ and CyanView addresses count as taken. An IP CONFLICT banner shows when two devices of any brand share an address.

Labels stay with the right camera — A plot name can't be set on a camera Scanny only knows by IP (No MAC yet, rescan). Activity lines show label [own name · MAC], and renames log the old label. The old 24 Sep label copy is removed; a new Mac starts with no labels.

",
